It is about 5 minutes walk from the metro station. (Zhong Xiao Fu Xing station).

In Japan, there are numerous bento contests, especially targeted at practioners of the art of charaben or kyaraben, cute character bentos. The biggest one of them all is arguably the annual charaben contest held by Sanrio, now in its 3rd year. The one rule of the Sanrio contest, not surprisingly, is that the bento entries must feature Sanrio characters.

The winners of the contest were announced yesterday. Here’s the Golden Grand Prix winning bento :

Hello Kitty Cookies

Hungry? Found this Hello Kitty Cookies when shopping in a Japanese Shop...Definitely cute...Expected to see some Hello Kitty shaped cookies in it... =( To my dismay... None... I double checked the book...and its clearly stated what you will expect inside the Hello Kitty tin... My mistake...

The tin is a useful one though...you can use it to place all your little, little stuff like hair clips and such... But the cookies are definitely not my cup of tea...or rather not my type of cookies...hee...
