Hello Kitty Punishment?

Hello Kitty as punishment? OMG I found this interesting post from http://www.chipchick.com posted in 2007.

A very interesting way to punish BAD cop in Thailand....Most hilarious...Down right a challeng to their manliness...

Punishment for Bad Cops in Thailand Involves Hello Kitty

How do they deal with a bad cop in Thailand? Do they fine them, do they demote them? No, for the bad apples amongst the police force in Bangkok, punishments are far worse than that. New rules are being implemented so that “Thai police officers who break rules will be forced to wear hot pink armbands featuring “Hello Kitty,” the Japanese icon of cute, as a mark of shame.” That’s right, Cops caught littering, parking in a prohibited area or arriving late will have to wear an armband featuring Hello Kitty sitting atop two hearts. "(Hello) Kitty is a cute icon for young girls. It’s not something macho police officers want covering their biceps" said Police Col. Pongpat Chayapha.
