X Japan Hello Kitty!
You may not have heard of X Japan yet, but that could change very soon. In Japan, the band is so big that Sanrio created a Hello Kitty line called Yoshikitty in the likeness of their drummer, Yoshiki. They will be making their U.S. debut at Lollapalooza in Chicago this coming weekend and will be the first J-Rock act to ever perform on the main stage on August 8th!
X Japan has sold more than 30-million albums, singles and videos, headlined and sold out Japan’s 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome 18 times — so far — and has started playing to tens of thousands of fans outside of Japan. Yoshiki, the band’s leader/songwriter/drummer and classically-trained pianist, is arguably Asia’s most influential musical artist and biggest rock icon. According to one industry insider, “Yoshiki is to Japan what Bono is to the UK.” The members of X Japan include Yoshiki, Toshi (vocals), Pata (guitar), Heath (bass), and Sugizo (guitar).
Yoshiki also visited the Three Apples Exhibition to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary last year. Rock on!
Don't you love this stylo X Japan Hello Kitty Plush! I bet their fans will love it too!
